A Moab man accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a teenager faces a preliminary hearing May 5.
Samuel Beauregard was arrested in January and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor for alleged possession of pornographic images of the girl; unlawful sexual activity with a 16- or 17-year-old; and unlawful sexual activity with a minor when she was younger than 16.
In interviews with law enforcement, the 45-year-old denied any wrongdoing. The alleged victim said the relationship had been ongoing for two years.
Judge Don Torgerson set the May 5 preliminary hearing, which will be held to determine if sufficient evidence exists to bind a person over for trial.
