A Moab man will spend a year in the Grand County Jail following convictions involving unlawful sexual activity with a teenager.
Samuel Beauregard, 45, faced up to five years in prison on each of three counts he faced.
Grand County Chief Deputy Attorney Matt Brooks said the matrix from the state recommended Beauregard serve between zero and 120 days in jail.
He pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with the girl starting when she was 15 years old. She was 17 when the girl’s father discovered the relationship and called law enforcement in January.
Brooks said Beauregard must get treatment upon his release and he must register as a sex offender.
