HMK Elementary School has announced its students of the month for February. From the left is Mayor Emily Niehaus, Aiden Holder, fourth grade; River Shaw, fifth grade; Ellie Cornelius, third grade; Abbie Cluff, second grade; Makenzie Butler, sixth grade; Dylan Cervantes, kindergarten; Dajeni Escalante-Dominguez, first grade; and Principal Ms. Kay.
Throughout the year, we have seen Amelia continue to grow as a student and as a human being. Her self-confidence can be seen in her day-to-day interactions. Amelia is involved in many school and non-school activities. She is a well-rounded person.
The seventh grade student of the month is Maizee Packard.
The Grand County Middle School Student of the Month for seventh grade is Hope Shumway.
The 7th grade student of the month for February is Ean Ellis.

Not pictured are Brynlee Dooley, a first grader in Mrs. Kahn’s class and Maddi Hamilton, a third grader in Mrs. Quigley’s class. The children were chosen – one from each grade – based on teachers’ insights into which students best embody the character traits appropriate for their grade level.
