Two losses to start the 3A playoffs ended the Red Devils baseball team’s season Saturday, May 4 in Juab, where they lost to the Juab Wasps in a lopsided game that ended 1-11 and a much closer 2-3 contest to the Emery Spartans.
The Red Devils split a doubleheader with the North Sanpete Hawks on Friday, April 26. The first game was some of the best baseball Grand County has played all season. The Red Devils won 11-1 in five innings.
Spring break is over. Before the final playoffs, awards ceremonies, and the pomp and circumstance of graduation, The Times-Independent spoke with a handful of Grand County High School senior athletes and coaches.

The Grand County varsity baseball team lost both games of a doubleheader at home to the Richfield Wildcats on Friday, April 5.
The Grand County High varsity baseball team visited the Monticello Buckaroos and won 17-3 on Wednesday, March 20. Grand scored one in the first, five in the second, one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and eight in the sixth. Tyler Lindsey was the winning pitcher. Trevin Packard had a triple. The junior varsity squad lost at home to the Dolores Bears 8-14 on Tuesday, March 19. The team also fell to the Nucla Mustangs 1-11, at home on Friday, March 22.
The Grand County High School baseball team lost a doubleheader to the Emery Spartans on Wednesday, March 13 in Emery. The Red Devils lost the first game 5-15. Grand kept pace with Emery until the bottom of the fifth inning when the Spartans scored eight runs.
The Red Devils baseball team traveled to New Mexico to start the 2019 campaign and went 1-2 at the Bloomfield Tournament.
The Grand County High baseball team is rebuilding in 2019 after losing most of its starters to graduation last year.
