    Honoring veterans

    A warm, sunny day greeted scores of residents to the Grand County Courthouse at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, where a ceremony marking Veterans Day was held. Among attendees were these members of an honor guard, who later conducted a 21-gun salute followed by the sounding of “Taps” on trumpet by Ron Irvin.

    Residents registered to vote in the City of Moab have received ballots via mail for the upcoming primary election for the Moab City Council. Ten candidates are on the ballot, and six will move on to the general election, which will take place in November.
