    EMS gets $5M for new facility

    The old Melich House on 100 East is more than 110 years old. It provides sleeping quarters to EMS personnel. The agency has received a preliminary offer of more than $5 million in a grant and loan from the Community Impact Board, funding that would be used to build a new facility.

    Child revived by lifeguard, off-duty hospital employee after nearly drowning

    A 3 year-old boy has been released from the hospital and is "doing well," according to Grand County EMS Outreach Coordinator McKay Vowles after nearly drowning and being resuscitated by lifeguards and an off-duty hospital employee.
