    New Justice Court judge takes the Oath

    Grand County Justice Court Judge Danalee Welch-O’Donnal  takes the oath of office Tuesday morning. The former longtime paralegal at the Grand County Attorney’s office was appointed in December to replace Judge David Tubbs, who was compelled to retire upon his 75th birthday in November.

    A state law that requires judges in Utah to retire at age 70 has created a vacancy in Grand County Justice Court. Judge David Tubbs will have to step down from the position on Nov. 3.
