    Grand only district in state to receive federal grant for safety training

    Grand County School District has been awarded federal funding through the U.S. Department of Justice’s Community-Oriented Policing Services and the School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP), to improve school safety measures. The competitive grant funding will provide GCSD with roughly $114,000, according to a press release from the district.

    Against local officials’ request, gov. allows Moab lodgings to fully reopen

    Grand County asked to keep hotel capacities limited. The state overruled local elected and health officials, instead further lifting restrictions on the county.
